Toronto, ON – On March 28, 2025, the Diaspora Property Expo Canada 2025 was officially
launched at the Ghana Consulate General in Markham, Ontario. This event marked a significant milestone in fostering deeper connections between Ghanaians living abroad and the thriving real estate sector in Ghana.

The launch was attended by key stakeholders from both Ghana and Canada, including
Consulate General Peter Kobina Taylor, who officially announced the launch of DPE Canada
2025 and emphasized the critical role of the diaspora in Ghana’s development. In his speech, Taylor underscored the importance of investment from Ghanaians abroad to drive the country’s economic growth, particularly within the real estate market.

The Diaspora Property Expo aims to create a platform for Ghanaians in the diaspora to explore property ownership and investment opportunities in Ghana. The event featured insightful presentations from industry leaders, government officials, and personal investors, all sharing valuable knowledge on how to succeed in Ghana’s real estate market.

Julz Ossom, President of Aim2Impact, discussed the expo’s mission to strengthen ties between Ghana and the Canadian diaspora while promoting sustainable and community-driven developments in Ghana. Ossom emphasized the event’s goal of creating lasting connections and opportunities for Ghanaians living abroad to invest back home.

Emmanuel Duodu, President of the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario (GCAO), also
shared his perspective on the importance of diaspora involvement in Ghana’s development. In his testimonial, Duodu highlighted the positive outlook for real estate in Ghana, stressing that the Expo’s emphasis on sustainability and modern living would create pathways for Ghanaians abroad to contribute meaningfully to the country’s growth. “This initiative is a significant step toward empowering Ghanaians abroad to become active participants in shaping the future of their homeland,” Duodu remarked.

Mr. Chedwick, an investor in Ghana, shared his personal journey of navigating real estate
investments in the country, discussing both the challenges and rewarding opportunities. His
testimonial further illustrated the potential for success in Ghana’s dynamic property market and encouraged others to consider investing in the country’s growing real estate sector.
The event concluded with a lively networking session where attendees had the chance to
engage with developers, financial institutions, and fellow investors. They enjoyed a delicious catered meal from Yaa’s Kitchen, which provided an opportunity for informal discussions and strengthened the bonds between the diaspora community and Ghanaian stakeholders.

The Diaspora Property Expo Canada is organized by Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, Aim2Impact/Diaspora Property Expo Canada, Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd, and the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) in partnership with the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ghana High Commission Ottawa, and the Ghana Consulate in Toronto.

The main event for the Diaspora Property Expo Canada will take place on May 24th-25th, 2025, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Centre, located at 655 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1J3. This major event will serve as a premier platform for Ghanaians in Canada and beyond to engage with real estate developers, financial institutions, and government representatives, paving the way for more investments and partnerships in Ghana’s real estate market.
