Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has won the Hiphop Song of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2026 with his hit song “Where Dem Boyz.”
The award was presented by veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Adjorlolo during the ceremony, which brought together some of the biggest names in Ghana’s music industry.
Black Sherif beat competition from Beeztrap KOTM with ‘Fly Girl’ featuring Oseikrom Sikanii, Kweku Smoke with ‘Holy Ghost’, Sarkodie featuring Kweku Flick on ‘Messiah’, Lyrical Joe with ‘5th August 8’, and Okyeame Kwame featuring Kuami Eugene on ‘No Competition’ to claim the award.
Receiving the award, an emotional Black Sherif began his speech with an expression of gratitude to God.
“In the name of the living God, the ever merciful and most compassionate. I’m back on this stage again,” he said.

The award-winning artiste went on to thank his fans and family for their unwavering support throughout his journey.
“Thank you so much to my fans who stream my music and to my family, I love you all so much,” he stated.
Black Sherif also reflected on the significance of winning the Hiphop Song of the Year award for the second time and promised to return to the stage again in the future.
“We have Hiphop Song of the Year and this is the second time. I will be back again, like KiDi said,” he added.
